December updates
What a year it has been, but that year is not yet over. During the last month of this year we do have some more updates for you all! In this newspost we will update you on the new 'recovered' category, gSm 1.0 or 2.0 info and filters, and the update of the tags.
But before you continue reading; did you submit all your trades and auctions? Yes, also auctions! For those who have missed our november update, do check out the newspost here. There we shared info about submitting auctions and also our development plans.
Are you a gSt pro?
Teddirachi has set out a fun event. With the help of some Christmas magic he's tranforming you all in fox assistants to help him answer questions with the help of the goSupertools database.
The competitions runs from the 14th to the 21st of december, so be sure to help him over at the competition forum.
Aurora Borealis mock-up
Spigg organised another exciting design competition, and this time the theme was aurora borealis! 20 winners with in total 60 items have won and will be featured on gSm, but there were so many great and simply stunning items that did not win, which we want to showcase.
If you want your designs to be in the spotlight that they deserve and be featured in our next mock-up; check out Teddirachi's forumpost to join the Aurora Borealis mock-up.
If you've never seen one of the previous designer mock-ups before, do check out the Halloween design comp here.
'Recovered' category
The amazing ladies Lilac and Wonderstruck, of the lost item recovery project, now have their own 'recovered' category to tag items that they've helped recover.
If you don't know about the lost item recovery project, you can find them here. They're hosting fun competitions in their club forum all december. So, don't forget to visit them and see if you can help them recover more items!
gSm 1.0 or 2.0 era
To make it more clear if an item is from the gSm 1.0 or 2.0 era, we've now added that information to the item pages. You'll find the era of an item in the bottom right corner of the item box on the item page.
If you want to search for items of just one era, you can find the filter in the 'type:' filter menu when you scroll down.
Above: the location of the 'Recovered' category and the gSm era information.
And last but now least, we've spend december reviewing and rethinking the currently available tags. With some of your suggestions and feedback, but also with our own tagging experience, we've made some changes.
Grouped tags
The biggest change is that we've now grouped tags together. This means that now the simular tags are put together. Tags are grouped in f.e. type, length, color, texture, front/back, position, etc.
Updated tags
Some tags have been slightly renamed, some have been deleted and some have been added.
These are the overall changes:
The beauty category:
- We've added Afro and Bob hair tags.
- Some tags have been slightly renamed to make their purpose more clear.
The clothing category:
- Streamlined texture/pattern tags across the clothing categories.
- Added types tags to tops.
- Added types tags to jackets.
- Added front and backpieces to skirts.
- Added 'mid waist' tags to the waist tags.
- Added dress types to dresses.
The shoes category:
- Added low heels to the heels tags.

The accessories category:

- Added the following tags to Other: cape, sleeves, skirts, umbrellas, hair.
If you want to know more about the tags or have questions about how to use them, do go to our item tag helppage. Here you'll find extra information and guides to help tag items accordingly.
