Database Filters
The database is ever growing and to help you navigate the many items there are database filters. There are three types of filters that will be explained in this help page.
Where is the filter?
To filter the items in the Item Database, you’ll click on the “filter” button on the top right of the page (next to help). It will open a pop-up menu with filter options.
Filters
There are three pages with filters on the top of the pop-up menu. The first group of filters contains the following options:
- Max width - this is a setting for the item database. It determines how many items will be shown next to each other on the page.
- Sort by: - this is a drop menu with sorting options. Here you can sort the items on oldest, newest, cheapest, most expensive (based on shop prices) and last changed.
- Category - The category tag give you the option to choose which category of item you’re looking for. F. e. dresses.
- Quality - The quality of the item is based on the quality it has on gSm.
- Design type - The design type option lets you filter who the designer is of the items. These are large categories. To specify the designer further, see “JD filter”.
- Type - The type filter lets you filter on the origin of the item.
JD Filter
The JD filter is an extensive list of all the designers that gSm has had over the years. GoDesigners, Junior Designers and Guest Designers are all featured here. Simply select the designers you want to show in your search to filter for their items.
The list is rather long. To find the designer more easily, you can use the search bar to filter the list of names.
Tag Filters
In the tag filters menu you’ll find vibe and tag filters that apply to specific categories of items. The menu opens on the vibe filter. These are twenty vibes that users can apply to items in the database.
To filter on one or multiple specific category tags, click on the type of item you want to filter and it will open an overview of the tags that belong to that item category. You’re only able to search for tags in one specific category, so the other groups lock when you pick one. You are able to search for a category tag and a vibe tag simultaneously.
When all your filters are set, simply click on apply to apply them to your search. If you want to change any filters, reopen the filter pop-up and change the filter settings or ‘reset’ them.
