We're back with the Designer Spotlight! This news segment is fully dedicated to put a designer in the spotlight. We've asked them about themselves, their creations, their process and their inspirations. This spotlight is for and by agly!

Let's introduce! 

Hi guys im agly! Ive been on gsm 2.0 for a little over a year now, but i actually used to play gsm 1.0 When i was younger, im a rich baddie and very humble i got into designing for com shop because i love clothes and i love money my design style is kind of hard to describe because i dont really stick to one specific thing. I just like being creative and making things that i think look cool.

My main motivation is probably money but for now ill say its artistic expression. Sometimes ill see a piece of clothing irl that i really like and itll inspire me, ill look at brands like rick owens or similar designers, or ill just design something straight from my head. Also sometimes i go back to my old designs and redesign them, which is actually really fun because i get to see how much ive improved!

I use krita for my designs, and one very important part of my process is MUSIC. I literally need music playing while i design or i will just sit there staring at the screen. Usually its travis scott or playboi carti because thats what fuels the vision. The hardest part for me is definitely shading. I be feeling like ive created the most beautiful item k and then the shading starts and suddenly lifes shit but we get thru it we rawdoggg it guys!

Being a community designer has been really amazing. Its nice being able to make something and then actually see other people wearing it on their models. Thats one of my favourite things about designing, ill never forget releasing my first design. It was so fun seeing peoples reactions, especially because everyone was shocked that agly could actually draw something other than a stick figure.

For inspiration i really like travis scott, fashion and things i see irl. Ill also use pinterest sometimes, and memes can be inspiration too. Inspiration can literally come from anywhere. Sometimes its a beautiful piece of clothing ive seen and sometimes its the meme i seen at 2am.

My biggest tip for other designers is honestly just to experiment and make what YOU like. Dont be scared of making something weird or different. Álso have music on. This is scientifically proven by me.

Some of my favourite things ive made is the tongue i designed a while back and the mini models ive done, especially the one of wify and me and my friends. Those are really special to me because i had a lot of fun making them. 

But my fav item is a pair of sunglasses i made i spent 900 years making this and yes i hate it but its also my child, sunglasses are serious business for me. My first design will always have a special place for me though. It was the first thing i ever released, so even if i look at it now and think girl what were we doing its still my baby.

The most agly item ive ever made is definitely the 67 sign.

As for what im working on right now... its a surprise all ill say is that its gonna be spooky and perf with halloween upcoming . 

To anyone who wants to start designing: just be creative and dont gaf about what other people say or think. make things because YOU like them. And to everyone who supports me, buys my designs or wears them i love u. Thank u for letting little agly live out her rich baddie designer era!!
