JD mock-up with: Ruiyo!
Hello you wonderful people!
It's been a hot minute since we had a JD mock-up! We've been experimenting behind the scenes to improve functionality on gSt, more to come soon! For now, let us focus on the mock-up!
We asked them to send us their designs for a little mock-up, and a few questions so we can get to know them better for the next round. Today's user is Ruiyo with their Punk outfit!
Please share a little of your creative process, before you sit down to make something. What do you like to do to get the creative juices flowing?
''I usually visit games i loved from back then wish are a main point of why i got into art with titels like "Fragile dreams farewell ruins of the moon", "Age of wushu" or other titels i grew to love over the years and are a stable in my memory. Wish kinda make me want to create not really "reality" in its own, but somthing i can relate to and have my self feel at home. If it makes sence. I also lisent to music. In what ever my mood wants right now it can range from Deep voice Metal, Nordic or Viking music down to Cute lofi beats that sooth me to sleep at night. I dont really do moodboards beacouse while they can be helpful i do have a close idea of what things i want the pice to hold emotion wise.''
2. If you were chosen to compete in the Junior Designer competition, what would be your biggest goal as a designer? Models styling your items? Sharing creativity or love for a certain fashion icon?
''Creativity. Defenetly. Sure people styling my items is always some kind of goal. But i sometime feel like that my style would clash with the style wantet by the people on the website :') wish is fine! Everyone has their own style.''
3. If you could describe your style with a few sentences, what would it be?
''Its a hard one. I guess a line from a game "Courage is the Magic that turns dreams into reality" kinda hits the nail! :D Its weird, like me!''
4. What is your most favourite thing to make? Either for models or as a drawing in general.
''I guess backrounds. beacouse those set the mood and story very well they are not the main pice ofc. But a part of the whole picture''
5. If you want to inspire any budding artist, what do you want to tell them?
''Be weird. The more absurd a Idea of yours sound the better the result will be. Art has many form ranging from realistic Stuff down to things that could never exsist like that. There are not really rules and anyone setting rules on "you can only draw like that!!!11" Really didnt understood Art at all. Try things out. Be weird. Have funn.''

This is very punk alright! first up, the make-up of course! the fierce red color and the black lines across the face seem battle ready! If the battleground was a metal concert, heh. I especially love the top! It's very stylized and the material it's made out of are beautifully detailed! Using the plaid pattern for the neck is brilliant, well done!
